Designer Gene Program

Coliban's Designer Gene Program gives people the unique opportunity to breed a foal of their choice, using either of the stud's imported stallions and one of the stud's well credentialed broodmares. It gives the prospective owner the flexibility of planning a foal without the huge initial outlay required. Having the ability to be able to plan ahead and pay a future foal off, stress free is a unique opportunity. It gives time to get prepared and organized for your future equine friend.

Coliban Quarter Horses will take the hassle and stress out of breeding, which mean you the customer don't need to worry about purchasing a mare, taking her to a stallion, feeding her during the pregnancy, foaling down the mare, and all the associated handling of the foal thru to weaning. Coliban Quarter Horses will do all the hard work for you, whilst you sit back and get your designer foal without moving a finger!

All we need you to do is to decide when you would like to breed then choose an available mare from the mares listed below, then simply choose a stallion and secure the deal with a 10%  deductable/non refundable deposit prior to us putting her in foal.

Why not enjoy the benefits of pre-ordering foals bred on Coliban soil. The stud is situated on a broad-acre property with the ground rich in limestone and minerals which enables the foals to develop structurally correctly, resulting in a foal with better bone and tougher feet. Mares living and enjoying the open spaces on broad-acres, produce big and strong babies. As Coliban is a working cropping and livestock enterprise, we grow our own grain and hay, make our own extruded pellets from produce grown on farm.

Note - As Three Solid Bars (imp) book is closed to the public, all his progeny resulting from the Designer Gene Program, will be subject to a gelding policy on all colts born, due to his closed breeding book.
